ASOS...good or bad?

Asos is a store I love to death there's always brilliant finds on there and I cans sit and browse that website for hours but when it comes to the delivery part etc I always have problems! I ordered a new fur coat near Christmas (i blogged about it in a previous post). I waited and waited for it to be dispatched and nothing happened even though the money had been took out of my account. The size I requested had apparently sold out but during those 2 weeks i had seen that the item was still there as I kept going back to look at the coat like a crazy person, I love it that much! Now what i don't understand is before they cancel the transaction and send you the refund why don't they see if you would prefer to switch to another size that may be in stock because i would have got the size down so i sent an email to them asking them whether they could stop the refund and send me the smaller size as by the time the refund would have gone through the smaller size may have sold out..waited and NO REPLY!!..which is not very good customer service if you ask me! A few days later the coat i wanted was featured on the homepage so i clicked on it and every single size was in stock!! never felt anger like it, why couldn't they have waited and just sent me an email saying this item is not in stock yet but will be sent out when the item is back in. So i ended up with no fur coat and wasted the £75 on nothing when i got it back!
A similar thing happened when i ordered some wedges from asos i seem them on someones blog and had to have them as they were in the sale so it was a bargain especially with the 20% student discount. I received these and was quite disappointed with the quality, they had bits of glue stuck on the suede fabric and just overall didn't look very clean. After trying them on, I was again disappointed as they didn't fit, now I am a size 7 in all footwear usually but these were impossible to zip up, oh well i decided i would return them and get the size 8 and stated this on the return sheet. I received an email from them a week or so later saying thank you for requesting a refund for the item this refund will be placed in your account over the next 3-5 days..WHAT?! i never requested a refund so i missed out the lovely shoes as well..i am not a happy bunny!

Now today i went on the website and ordered some asos collection nude.pink wedges that i have been lusting after since they appeared on the website and they were in the sale from £120 to £38 and only had a size 7 in stock so i ordered them straight away with the added 20% student discount they ended up costing £28.80. Now I'm quite apprehensive as of whether I'll actually receive these shoes and if they will even fit. I checked the link again and they now say out of stock so I'm not sure if that's because i bought them or will i receive an email telling me they don't have any left, the reduced price on the web-page now also says they were reduced to £78, which was not the price about 10 minutes ago when i ordered them. This website has been annoying me lately! I hope I get the shoes but I'm not holding me breath, all I will say is they better not take that money out of my bank if they don't intend to send me them, I can use the money for other things!! rant over lol :)
here's a picture of the shoes I ordered :)

ASOS BLACK BOOM Leather & Stingray Wedge Sandals
lets hope i get them and dont have any more issues..i love them :)

How has your ASOS experience been, good or bad?

New Buys...

I've picked up a few new bits and pieces recently and thought i would show you my new purchases. working in retail is torture but the advantages being DISCOUNT fashion..although when you're trying to save money it can be a bit of a hassle as you want to buy everything you see!! I haven't been too bad i just purchased two new t-shirts from the trend section in H&M. There are so many things i want from the trend section, basically this section contains the trendier clothes at a itty bit of a higher price. The t-shirts are both the same (if i find something i like i may aswell buy it in both colours right?). The price was really reasonable at £14.99 and with my staff discount..bonus :)
this picture really doesnt do the tops justice but basically they're oversized tshirts with silk shoulders and pocket..simple and classic :)

I also picked up a cream and black stretch mini skirt i love these skirts i have 2 of them in black there so easy to pair with different tops or tights etc very comfortable and a steal at £3.99 these sell out so quick!! there like a cheaper version of the topshop bandage skirts but serious im not going to pay over £20 for a skirt so h&m offers the perfectc solution:)

i  picked up a nail varnish as well in the colour 'get a rose for me' this colour is a lilac/pink colour super cute and girly i love it. theres a deep shimmer plum colour i might pick up soon, why not there a bargain at £2.99 :)
thats it for my h&m purchases but there will definitely be more considering i'm there slaving away every other day!

Now on to the funnest buys so far this year..shoeeeeees! oh how i love shoes, i have quite the collection on the go but i definitely need to buy more..i must work harder to earn more money to spend on frivolous items such as 6 inch heels! I bought the first pair of shoes in the Riverisland sale i'd been wanting them for about 3 months and seeing them in the sale made my heart race so i picked them up immediately..I think they were £65 full price and I got them for £30 so quite a big save. gorgeous clog style boots, I dont think these will really go out of trend and if they do then oh well i'll still wear them :)

I picked up these babys with a voucher i got off my sister for christmas i also has some shorts to return so i ended up paying about £30 towards the ridiculous price of £85! so i didn't feel guilty one bit! i love these shoes to death i originally wanted the black wedges but they went into the sale and i missed out big time :(..but  I'm really happy with the cream as i think they'll be perfect for summer..iv worn these once already and i think i might not wear them again until nicer weather as they already have a few marks on them and i want to keep them nice...especially considering the cost!  I love everything i bought but like always there are a million and one more things i have running through my head for my wish-list..still waiting on that lottery win.

on another note vampire diaries starts again this week...along with gossip girl/90210/supernatural/hellcats etc etc and greys anatomy is on another break arghh not happy. i am a bigtime geek when it comes to tv sitcoms i watch anything american. guilty pleasure being jersey shore..i am addicted to that show..along with the bachelor..cringeee!!! haha love love love!!

have you picked up anything nice this year?

change is a good thing...

This new year has not started out great!...i got so ill at the beginning of new year and missed home so much!..so what did i do? i went home, when really i should have been working hard in uni. Now im running behind and have ALOT of work to catch up on..but on a better note i finish uni in may and am planning on booking some sort of holiday preferably to america!! never been before but have always wanted to go...i can dream away!

I'm starting a healthy eating kick today im going to try and snack on healthy foods instead of junk and cut out all the sugary drinks..i think i'v had a little obsession with all fizzy drinks and it just makes me feel really unhealthy..but tastes oh so goood! water for me from now on :)..i was pretty impressed with a youtube guru that i watch called marlena www.youtube.com/MakeupGeekTV..she recently done a video of how she lost 90 pounds and kept the weight off, its really inspired me as i have some weight i could lose but i've always struggled since school!..but heres to hoping for more motivation and willpower in 2011!

I'm thinking off making other changes within my life but theres so many decisions that can affect every aspect of your life its scary, but i think i know what i want in life and need to make these changes for me to be happy :)..soo change is a good thing right?

snug as a bug!

ahh im so excited!..i purchased a new coat a few days ago and i cannot wait to receive it im hoping it comes soon so i can keep warm during this horrible weather! its soo cold teeth chatteringly so..i pray for snow each christmas and its unbelievably pretty but wow its cold! :( anyway the coat i got now its a little bit on the steep side but its beaaaaaautiful! its fake fur and its from ASOS so im hoping its good quality and is a perfect fit..its hard to know with online shopping..hopefully asos will open a store in the near future?!? yes pleasse.
so anyway here is my dream coat...
stunning right?..i love it i first noticed it on an a asos style finder competiton that is taking place, one of the competitors has styled an oufit with the jacket and it looked stunning..now im not a size 6 so i dont know exactly how it will look on my figure but im hoping for good things..well if it doesnt look good i can always send it back no problem but i hope it does :) it was a push at £75 but im quite happy iv been after a faux fur coat for quite some time but could never find the right one but this just appealed to me its a bit different to the average fur coat and i think it was well worth it. i'll let you know what i think of it when i recieve it soooo hurry up mr postman!

i bought another coat in the sale yesterday, again its my new love!..it was such a bargain at £15 reduced from £30 so half price not bad. its a sherling shawl jacket super cute and it keeps me warm until my fur jacket arrives :) its from george at asda now i have to admit this is my first supermarket clothes purchase but im pleasantly surprised its good quality for the price and on trend..this may open up new opportunites for shopping adventures in the future, high street is becoming increasingly overpriced so for a student on a budget its the perfect solution! heres a picture of my new jacket..

what do you guys think?
have you bought any new snuggly coats this winter let me know i may find something else i want :)..my wishlist just keeps getting longer ..

The sweet smell of Love

Currently trying to compile a wish list. I do this quite often when i get bored and the list gets extremely long, I really don't know where I think I'll get the money for all these things but who knows a lottery win may well be round the corner :). So first off is perfumes, I'm a sucker for perfumes honestly its like I cant have enough.

My favourite by far is Vera Wang Princess which I have repurchased 3 times already and am now needing again as my current bottle is absolutely and completely empty..sigh :(i actually cant bring myself to get rid of the bottle (the empty bottle that is). Now this perfume brings back memories of my early college years, seems like such a long time ago. I'm not very good at describing scents but to me its very feminine and flirty although I wouldn't describe it as a sexy scent its more of a sweet scent .LOVE.

The empty bottle of Vera Wang Princess (need to work on my camera skills)

My second favourite perfume has got to be Kenzo Amour in the pink bottle! This scent is again very sweet smelling quite floral and maybe has a hint of vanilla. I've purchased this perfume twice (if i like something I'll buy it over and over again).

Another of my faves are the YSL perfumes the older one which is YSL Elle i got this as a gift of my mother :) now this perfume is quite expensive but it also smells quite expensive, this perfume is quite a different scent than the other two I usually wear quite floral smelling scents but when i smelt this perfume I loved it, it was something different and appealed to me at the time. Now this isn't a perfume I would wear every day as I think it is perhaps a tad too strong but when I fancy a change I'll grab this, it makes me feel more grown up. To describe the scent I would say it has a spicy undertone.
The second YSL perfume I have is Parisenne. Again not something i would usually wear but there's clearly something about the YSL perfumes that grabs my attention, they are both very strong perfumes and I think this appeals as I find the more floral perfume scents fade quicker which is very annoying especially once you find yourself re-applying it five times a day (believe me they run out quick). I don't think i can even begin to describe the scent of Parisienne but its definitely a feminine scent, just pop to your closest perfume store and have a smell its very nice :)

Now I have quite a few other perfumes but these are my faves of the bunch and I will most probably keep repurchasing. The wish list I've made contains a few perfumes I've owned before, for example the Escada perfumes. Now I love these perfumes but there quite hard to get your hands on as they seem to bring out a new perfume and the older ones become discontinued. Summer Heat is a must have for me as it reminds me of a holiday i took to Bulgaria in 2005, another perfume I want is the Pacific Paradise perfume pretty much for the same reason it reminds me of summer time I love it when perfumes give you a sense of nostalgia.. ahhh memories :) These are both fruity scents, very young and fun scents which I need for my upcoming holiday!

I have so many things on my wish list I could go on forever but I'l stop with the perfumes for now seen as though this ending up turning into a bit of a review, I did mention my tendency to ramble on didnt I?..so basically the perfume wishlist consists of Vera Wang Princess, Escada Pacific Paradise & Summer Heat, oh and just as an extra Viktor & Rolf Flower Bomb my friend has this and it smells amazing!..

Whats on your perfume wishlist?
